Nothing seems to be beautiful, nothing seems to be OK, and nothing seems to be interesting while doing nothing!
Youth-Peers do not know what boring activities are; they are not acquainted with the feeling of being lazy; they cannot say that there exist some things that are better than the other ones!
Recently a new radiobroadcast has been launched and the leading position after our audience, of course, belongs to Y-Peers!
The broadcast was launched with the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in collaboration with the National Radio Broadcasting Company with the following topic “Because everyone counts”. The broadcast is a part of series of programmes “Forta Junimii” (“Youth Power”), presented by Olga Stavila and edited by Andrei Mitu. The new broadcast that involves youth and is about youth aims to attract as much listeners as possible, not only youngsters but adults and experts as well.
The launch which took place on February 16, 2007 was the event that left deep but very pleasant prints in our memories. The topic discussed was “Demographic situation in the Republic of Moldova and the role of young people in changing it”.
Though I had to bear very strong feelings, I can assure you that the deal was of a great success! Even because of Julia’s presence, a young French journalist, who was on a business visit in Moldova, and observing Youth Peers’ activity on the way. Being a journalist she, of course, would not like to miss the possibility of seeing us at work and joined us at the radio talk show.
My colleague Y-Peer Liviu Bulicanu and I who were present at the launch event had a conversation, which included our personal opinions about the situation of youth from Moldova and some information about our activities in this domain.
Miss Viorica Gherman, the Interim Programme Coordinator from the Family Planning Association of Moldova (FPAM), and Mr. Boris Gilca, the UNFPA Programme Coordinator in Moldova, told the radio listeners about our mission and presented some facts related to the demographic situation of the young people in Moldova. We were very glad to find out that people were listening to us and they did not hesitated to contact us and to express their opinions and share their own experiences. We cordially invite you to join us and to phone us further more. Please, do not forget about the letters for the rubric “The Hand of Destiny” with your exciting and provocative questions for our experts!
